Your opportunity to make a difference... Hands on!

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of hosting a diverse group of passionate volunteers from all over the world- including France, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, Australia, and Switzerland. So far, our French friends are in the lead with an impressive 8 volunteers having joined us from France alone!

Over the years, our herd of rescued Australian wild horses - known as Brumbies - has grown steadily. As more horses arrive in need of care, handling, and training, we're on the lookout for new volunteers to join our team and share in this unique and rewarding experience.

Why Volunteer With Us?

By volunteering at the sanctuary, you’ll get the chance to:

Immerse yourself in the authentic Aussie lifestyle, surrounded by the natural beauty of the New England Tablelands in NSW.
Gain hands-on experience with Brumbies, learning how to care for, gentle, and train them.
Contribute to the rehabilitation and protection of Australia’s iconic wild horses, many of whom come from tough backgrounds.
Connect with like-minded people from around the world in a meaningful and purpose-driven setting.

What We Offer

In exchange for your time and energy, we provide:

A fully self-contained two-bedroom cabin on-site, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
All meals covered – so you can focus on the horses without worrying about groceries.
Eligibility for visa sign-off for those needing to complete agricultural or regional work (including 2nd and 3rd year visa requirements in Australia).

What We're Looking For

We welcome individuals who are:

Enthusiastic about animals and the outdoors
Hard-working, adaptable, and eager to learn
Interested in rural and equine life – previous horse experience is a plus, but not essential

If you’re looking for a memorable way to spend time in Australia, build lifelong friendships, and make a difference in the lives of Australia's Heritage Brumbies, we’d love to hear from you!
